I’d like to point out that I am by no means an expert in electronics. If you were to ask me to make a circuit diagram or explain the minutiae of how a certain electronic piece works, I’d draw a complete blank. In reality, I completed this project by just tinkering around with electronic components and having a basic understanding of how electricity works. That being said, you should always exercise caution when working with electronics, especially when using external power sources.

Are you tired of typing long commands into the terminal? Did you misremember a flag causing an error making you pull out your hair for 2 minutes only to realize that flag doesn’t exist? API stands for Application Programming Interface. Simply put, an API is what allows programs or services to communicate with other programs or services.

A great example I came across (don’t remember the…

In this article, we’ll create a Discord bot using Python. The bot we’ll be creating today will have a simple purpose, telling jokes. We will give the bot a command and it will return a random joke. This should be simple enough, let’s get started!

Before Starting

I think it’ll be useful to understand what an API is before we actually get started. API stands for Application Programming Interface. Simply put, an API is what allows programs or services to communicate with other programs or services.

A great metaphor I came across (don’t remember…
